Regular Massage

The benefits of a good regular massage, should not be underestimated.

After suffering several soft tissue-type injuries, during Regular massage I found that muscle tightness was affecting my quality of life. After trying physiotherapists and acupuncturists I felt the muscle soreness and tightness were returning.

I decided to try a remedial massage and initially found an advertisement for Telek Massage in the local newspaper.

At first, I was sceptical about the effectiveness of a massage, but I had nothing to lose, as other treatments were not working effectively. I booked an appointment and arrived at the Telek Massage clinic. After describing my underlying issues with Louis (The Massage Therapist), he worked on the areas of concern with different massage techniques. After the initial session, I was quite initially quite sore, I was told this would pass within a couple of days. I noticed a slight improvement in the tightness and soreness after a couple of days so I followed up on my treatment, with another visit. With definitive signs that the remedial massages were working, I began to visit Telek Massage regularly. This was over 15 years ago and I have been visiting ever since.

Louis has tried different techniques on me over the years. I have recently tried “Hot cupping” a technique that utilizes glass jars and some light heat, to extract toxins from the body. He is also a practitioner in acupuncture and other non-traditional techniques. I still, however, prefer the remedial massage as the results are noticeable for the treatment of the injuries that have plagued me.

Regular massage benefit

The benefits of a good massage for me are a reduction in stress levels, increased mobility of motion in my arms and legs, and a reduction in reoccurring injuries. I would recommend that people visit an experienced massage therapist like Telek Massage and see the benefits it brings for themselves.
